Afterall, the 4Runner has soldiered on largely unchanged since 2009 — an analog watch in an iPhone world. We drove the SUV for a week to find out if it’s as rugged and charming as we remembered. We found it to be a true reminder that sometimes the old ways are the best.

At long last, Lexus has completely revamped its compact NX SUV. Back in the game, the 2022 Lexus NX 350 brings a potent new engine, fun driving dynamics, more aggressive styling and a signature smooth ride. It’s also fairly quirky, especially on the interior. The new NX is a competitive upgrade over the previous generation, especially with the F Sport trim.

A step below the Autograph trim, the Sensory QX60 might be the better value for Infinity’s newly redesigned SUV.

Over the holiday break, I attended the San Diego International Auto Expo. It was a fortuitous visit, as it not only provided some relief from the surprisingly brisk and wet weather of southern California, but it also afforded me a sneak peek of the 2023 Utah International Auto Expo. When I bought my 2021 Mazda3 Turbo Hatchback, it seemed like the perfect daily driver. It was practical, comfortable, stylish, economical, and fun to drive. One year and 8,500 miles later, it turns out that many of the qualities that immediately won me over remain as impressive as ever. It’s also an exceptional value. Most Audi and BMW buyers won’t cross-shop this car, but they should. I’ve been in several entry-level luxury cars, and the Mazda3 competes in nearly every way.

When Kia first debuted the Telluride, we were excited (just like the other 300,000 people who have bought one so far).
