Wings and Wheels 2021: Utah's Festival of Speed was better than ever

Attending Wings and Wheels: Utah's Festival of Speed for our first time, my dad and I went down to Spanish Fork and spent the day enjoying performances by fast cars and airplanes alike. My dad, a retired air traffic controller, was the perfect companion to take. I enjoyed the company of a man who has loved airplanes his entire life — a walking encyclopedia on the subject of aviation — as we wandered around the hangars. I learned a lot and appreciated the variety of airplanes on display much more than I could have on my own.

While we were not planning to stay the whole day, we are glad we did. The organizers — Spanish Fork City, Envision and Richard Seal (a wealth management consultant from Utah County) did an excellent job putting on an event that appealed to a wide audience.

"We worked hard to bring people of all interests together to enjoy some insane cars, amazing airplanes and cool stuff they won't see anywhere else. Bugattis racing airplanes with explosions going on. Exotics going over 200 mph and 1,800-horsepower drag racing. It was awesome," said Trevor Hoyt of Envision.
